Adult Career and Special Student Services

Adult Career and Special Student Services (ACSSS) is your gateway to the many education paths and opportunities available to you at UW–Madison. We offer programs and services for returning adult, nontraditional and University Special students, and provide career services for UW–Madison employees.

Whether you’re beginning a new education journey or just need an answer to a question, we are here to help you confirm your next step.

Who we serve

ACSSS offers comprehensive assistance to returning adult and nontraditional degree students. We are the admissions, advising and academic dean’s office for 4,500 University Special students.

As the front office to UW–Madison Continuing Studies, we greet over 1,200 visitors each year and help them find the right person or program to serve their needs.
