To be eligible to apply, you’ll need 12 transferable credit hours of college-level work AND have completed algebra and geometry coursework. Postponed admission gives you an action plan that may include taking transferable courses elsewhere to demonstrate more recent academic success or to fulfill requirements. Students will discuss their pathway to admission with a UW–Madison Online advisor to understand the recommendations and develop their plan.

Tuition is $500 per credit hour. For UW–Madison Online, the tuition rate is the same for all students regardless of whether you are a resident of Wisconsin. Segregated fees do not apply, but there may be additional fees. Learn more about tuition and fees.

When you’re admitted to UW–Madison Online, our Credit Evaluation Services team will officially let you know if courses you have taken at other colleges/universities for credit will transfer. If you have an associate degree from one of the colleges with whom we have a transfer agreement, your credits will transfer as noted in the agreement, and you can check out our transfer calculator.
