Visiting International Student Program

The Visiting International Student Program (VISP) welcomes global students to enroll for one or more academic terms at UW–Madison. Coursework is supplemented with personalized advising as well as a variety of cultural and social events to help students feel welcome on our campus. 

  • International students interested in studying at UW–Madison 
  • Schools, colleges and partner programs across campus
  • UW–Madison faculty and staff 

Who we serve

  • Admit students to the VISP program
  • Provide personalized advising to our students
  • Assist VISP students with finding housing 
  • Organize cultural and social events 
  • Offer programs for students to improve English proficiency
  • Work with schools and colleges across campus to develop Thematic Tracks for VISP students 
  • Attend global recruitment events
